Modular Construction Can Quickly Answer to Changed School Enrolment

New school building, secondary school in Alzenau

Due to the increasing number of pupils more room was needed. The constructor looked for an economic solution that, however, fulfils all requirements for an education-friendly ambience. In addition, great importance was attached to high flexibility as regards the adaptation of the future room planning.

A representative two-storey school building with nine bright and friendly classrooms was erected together with the according periphery and arranged around a light-flooded entrance hall with gallery.

Already after two years this building was extended by five further classrooms. The extension was carried out without any disruption of the lessons in only three weeks during the school holidays.

One advantage of modular construction is the quick and economic adjustment to the respective needs. There is no need to plan any overcapacities as the adjustment to the needs can promptly be fulfilled. This helps to optimally use the already limited financial means of the local authorities.
