Gas Cylinder Storage
Compressed gas cylinders must be secured against falling over or down. The valves must be protected with a suitable protective device such as caps or basket collars. Compressed gas cylinders shall be stored upright, if possible, liquid gas cylinders must be stored upright and compressed gas containers shall be placed protected from excessive external heat. Compressed gas containers outdoors shall be secured by suitable measures such as gas cylinder boxes or containers or fencing around the facility.
Storing Pressurised Gas Cylinders Safely, Cleanly and in Accordance With the Regulations
It is a closed storage system for the storage of compressed gas cylinders of different cylinder sizes, filled with non-acute toxic gases. Due to the constructive self-ventilation, the ventilation gills installed on three sides and the under-ventilation of the floor, the legally required air exchange is far above the minimum requirement of 1/100 of the floor space.
The pressurised gas cylinders are secured by adjustable holding devices and sturdy chains. Additional grid levels and compartment levels ensure flexible storage of different cylinder sizes.
Using the optionally available drive-on ramp made of bulb plate, the gas cylinder store can be loaded and unloaded in a particularly practical way, even with heavy gas cylinders. The gas cylinder container is also available without a floor for ground-level access.
The Compact Gas Cylinder Box for Outdoor Use
11 or 14 propane cylinders of 33 kg can be stored upright and with an additional grid level 22 or 27 cylinders of propane gas of 11 kg.
The roof can be opened and closed easily due to the built-in gas pressure springs and uncontrolled slamming is prevented.
Handling pressurised gas cylinders in a way that does not comply with regulations leads to a high risk of fire and explosion. For this reason, outdoor gas cylinder storage facilities are subject to certain Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances (in Germany TRGS 510), which above all require adequate ventilation. It must be ensured that the minimum requirements are met and that 1/100 of the total floor area of the storage facility is ventilated.
Furthermore, the regulations to be followed include securing the gas cylinders against falling over, securing the valves with protective caps as well as an anti-theft device. Furthermore, it must be prevented that gases are released and decanted in the middle of a gas cylinder storage or that compressed gas cylinders and flammable liquids are stored together.

SAFE Gas Cylinder Pallet for Safe Handling
Forklift pockets ensure easy access with forklift trucks and pallet trucks, and four crane eyes enable easy lifting. A retaining bracket provides the necessary safety during handling, preventing the bottles from falling over and ensuring sufficient stability. The retaining bracket is adjustable and can also be locked onto the middle and rear row.
The Right Choice of Storage Location
In order to comply with regulations when storing gas cylinders outdoors, the choice of a suitable location is crucial. In this context, certain safety distances must be observed. Compressed gas cylinders containing flammable or oxidising gases must be stored at least 2 metres apart.
The protected area of the gas cylinder storage must be far from public traffic areas. Likewise, a distance of at least 5 metres must be maintained from adjacent facilities from which a possible fire hazard could emanate. This minimum distance can be replaced by a 2 metres high protective wall, which must be of sufficient width and made of a non-combustible building material.
