Hazardous Material Containers - the Environmental Storage Technology for Outdoor Areas
Approved and tested by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt), our containers offer ideal conditions for the storage of hazardous substances.
The SAFE Master® as a Compact Hazardous Materials Depot
Gas pressure springs facilitate opening and closing of the roof and prevent uncontrolled slamming. The roof is secured from the inside by a roof lock and the profile cylinder lock provides security against unauthorised access.
The SAFE Master® is available in two versions and can hold 2 or 4 x 200 litres drums upright. Optional accessories allow the storage of a 200 litres drum in combination with canisters and small containers.
SAFE Tank up to 12 m²
1. for the storage of non-flammable, water-polluting substances of all water hazard classes. Special ventilation is not required.
2. for passive storage of non-flammable water-polluting anf flammable substances. With a prescribed 0.4-fold minimum air exchange per hour (self-ventilation), the SAFE tank even achieves a 1.9-fold.
3. for the active storage of non-flammable water-polluting & flammable media, with a prescribed 5-fold minimum air exchange per hour, which is ensured by explosion-proof forced ventilation.
Further equipment such as shelving systems, lighting packages and various doors and door positions are available.
Hazardous Material Container Combinations 12 m² to 32 m²
According to the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), this version of the hazardous substance container is authorised for the storage of non-flammable or highly flammable substances.
For convenient and flexible use of the SAFE tanks on the company premises, drive-on ramps can be used on request. This makes the galvanised grids easy to drive on and facilitates loading and unloading.
The advantage of hazardous material container combinations is that the individual containers are delivered pre-assembled. Final assembly on site is an option.
The ECO & CONTROL Hazardous Material Containers for Efficient Energy Saving
Maintenance costs are significantly reduced because the fan runs temporarily and not continuously.
The SAFE Tank CONTROL hazardous material container enables timely detection of escaping hazardous gases and gas-air mixtures and thus protects people, objects and the environment.
A sensor measures the gas concentration inside the hazardous material container and automatically switches on the built-in fan, which does not have to be explosion-proof, as soon as a certain limit value is exceeded. If the gas concentration in the hazardous materials storage area is too high, the power supply to all electrical devices is immediately interrupted and the fan continues to run. The SAFE Tank CONTROL can also be operated economically because the fan is only switched on in a specific case and does not have to run continuously.
Both hazardous materials storage facilities are designed for the storage of water-polluting, non-flammable and flammable media in larger quantities in accordance with TRGS 510.
Hazardous Material Containers for KTC / IBC
The SAFE hazardous material container is approved for the storage of non-flammable and highly flammable media of all water hazard classes and has a storage capacity of up to two 1,000 l KTC / IBC or for up to twelve 200 l barrels.
As standard, this container is equipped with a three-sided, galvanised splash protection wall so that leaking liquids from leaking containers can be reliably collected in the collection tray. Due to a particularly high collection volume of the liquid-tight welded and galvanised steel trays (min. 1030 l), use within water protection areas is permitted.
As with all SAFE hazardous material containers, these designs are also suitable for passive (permanent self-ventilation) and active (forced ventilation) storage of flammable substances. If non-flammable, water-polluting media are involved, no ventilation feature is required.
Various Storage Options with the SAFE Hazardous Material Containers
Basically, two different regulations are differentiated in the handling of hazardous substances. On the one hand, there is the possibility of active storage, in which hazardous media can be stored in movable casks, drums or containers and used stationarily as collection / removal containers. In this type of storage, the hazardous material containers are equipped with explosion-proof ventilation.
On the other hand, in passive storage, the hazardous substances are kept tightly closed in approved transport containers, neither emptied nor filled there, and the air circulation is supported by natural self-ventilation. For emptying, opening, filling or transferring, technical forced ventilation with a 5-fold air exchange is required.
