Environmentally Friendly Storage With SAFE Sump Trays
Approved for all water hazard classes (WGK 1-3) and in accordance with the Water Resources Act (WHG), the steel sumps are suitable for the storage of easily to highly flammable and non-flammable media hazardous to water. They are built according to the German steel sump guideline (StawaR) and are certified within the scope of a TÜV test.
Sump Trays for 200 l Drums
Thanks to an extensive selection of SAFE accessories, the trays can be retrofitted at any time, for example with special tray inserts. In addition, the collection trays have integrated forklift pockets as well as an underride height of 100 mm, so that empty transport and moving the system pallets with a forklift truck is made easier.
MEGA Sump Trays for Storage of IBCs and KTCs
With a collection volume of at least 1,000 l, this type is the one with the largest capacity.
On request, a three-sided splash protection wall can be fitted on top of the sump trays. This prevents leaking liquids from escaping into the environment, but directs them directly into the sump tray. Additional accessories, such as PE inserts in the SAFE steel sumps, enable the storage of alkalis and acids.
Sumps With and Without Grid
If you choose a construction with galvanised grid, you can use it as an additional storage level for drums and small containers.
Flat Tray and Surface Protection Systems
The surface protection can be variably adapted to the respective operational requirements by using different tray sizes. In addition, the collection area can be expanded at any time by stringing together sump trays as required.
The individual elements are joined together by connecting profiles and can be dismantled at any time and reassembled elsewhere. Other SAFE products such as drum supports, stacking frames or small container racks facilitate and organise the storage and handling of hazardous materials. Special drive-on ramps ensure easy access with pallet trucks or forklifts.
Prescribed Use of Sump Trays in Germany
Please inform yourself about the regulations in your own country.
If flammable or water-polluting media are stored in single-walled containers, they must be stored in or above sump trays. The Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances TRGS 510 stipulate that sump trays must collect the contents of the largest individual container, but at least 10% of the stored quantities.
If hazardous substances are stored within water protection areas, the system pallets must be able to hold the entire storage quantity and be resistant to the substances stored in the containers. A freeboard of 2 cm must be taken into account when considering the collection volume.
